So, why RethinkRaising?
So, why RethinkRaising?
RethinkRaising was created due to an unexpected redundancy after 25 years, and I have a long standing commitment to charitable work and a desire to support charitable organisations doing important work in their communities.
After many years working within the charitable sector, I want to continue supporting the charitable sector and offer my experience and skills more widely, supporting small to mid-sized charities that may not have access to specialist fundraising support.
RethinkRaising is about stepping back, reassessing what’s working, and helping organisations improve their fundraising strategy, systems, and processes in practical, achievable ways — so fundraising becomes clearer, more confident, and more sustainable.
Fundraising is about people, but behind every successful fundraising programme is a mountain of systems, processes, data, reports, and administration quietly keeping everything running.
That's where I come in.
With 25 years of experience, I can help streamline processes, improve donor stewardship, enhance supporter journeys, tidy up databases, create meaningful reports, and generally bring a bit more order to the organised chaos that often sits behind fundraising.
Think of me as the person who enjoys fixing the things that make everyone else sigh heavily when they open them.
I work closely with charities as a trusted partner, taking the time to understand their mission, resources, and challenges before recommending possible solutions.
Support is tailored to each organisation’s size and capacity, whether that involves reviewing existing systems, strengthening fundraising processes, training staff and volunteers, developing clear plans for future growth, or just simple help with data entry when down a staff member.
My approach is collaborative and hands-on, with a focus on practical improvements and helping you build long-term fundraising capability rather than short-term fixes.
